After signing in, click Create in the top navigation bar. You can start from a blank survey or choose from one of our pre-built templates. Give your survey a title and start adding questions from the question panel on the left.

Yes — all new accounts get a 14-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card is required to start. At the end of the trial you can choose a paid plan to continue.

On the sign-in screen, click Continue with Google or Continue with Microsoft. You will be redirected to your provider's sign-in page. Once authorised, you will be brought back to your Surveyz dashboard. Your Surveyz account is linked to your provider email address.

Surveyz supports: Multiple Choice, Checkbox (multi-select), Short Text, Long Text / Paragraph, Rating Scale (1–5 or 1–10), Likert Scale, Yes/No, Date, Dropdown, and Net Promoter Score (NPS). More types are added regularly — check the changelog for updates.

Logic rules let you show or hide questions based on a respondent's previous answers. In the survey builder, click + Add rule in the Logic Rules section. Select a question, a comparison (equals, contains, greater than, etc.) and a value. Then choose whether to show or hide another question when that condition is met. You can also use the AI Suggest button to automatically generate relevant rules based on your survey questions.

Yes. Click Create → Use a template from the dashboard. You can browse templates by category (Customer Feedback, HR, Education, etc.) and preview them before use. Selecting a template creates a new survey pre-populated with relevant questions that you can edit freely.

Once your survey is published, a unique shareable link is generated. You can copy this link from the survey dashboard and share it via email, messaging apps, or embed it on a website. Anonymous respondents do not need a Surveyz account to complete your survey.

Open your survey from the dashboard and click the Results tab. You will see response counts, charts for each question, and an individual response list. Results update in real time as new responses come in.

Yes. On the Results page, click the Export button to download your responses as a CSV file. The export includes all answers, timestamps, and any respondent identifiers that were collected.

The Generate Insights button on the Results page sends your response data to our AI (powered by Claude) which produces a plain-English summary of key themes, patterns, and notable findings. Analyse Sentiment classifies responses by positive, neutral, and negative sentiment. Both features help you quickly understand what respondents are saying without reading every individual response.

Surveyz offers monthly and annual subscription plans priced in South African Rand (ZAR). Annual plans offer a significant discount. You can view current pricing and feature limits on the pricing page.

Go to Account → Subscription and click Cancel Plan. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period. You will not be charged again after cancellation.

We do not offer pro-rated refunds for partial months. If you cancel, you retain access until your billing period ends. In exceptional circumstances we may consider refunds — please contact us to discuss.

On the sign-in page, click Forgot password? and enter your email address. You will receive a password reset link. The link is valid for 24 hours. If you signed up via Google or Microsoft, your password is managed by that provider.

To delete your account and all associated data, please contact us. We will process your request within 30 days in accordance with POPIA. You can export your survey data before deletion.

In the survey builder, click ✨ Suggest questions. The AI analyses your survey title and any existing questions, then suggests relevant follow-up questions you may not have thought of. You can add individual suggestions with one click or dismiss ones that don't fit.

AI features (insights, sentiment analysis, question suggestions) send your survey content and/or response data to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. This data is used only to generate your requested output and is not stored or used to train AI models. If your surveys contain sensitive personal information, use AI features with caution.
